The content for blog being moved to http://tdgs-supporting-women-in-business.blogspot.com/
I'm a strong believer in referral networking and taking the time to know my colleagues so I've have mis-givings with many of the groups that have the words speed and networking together.
Tonight I attended my very first Women's Speed Networking Business Association chat. I loved it, everyone got to do a quick 1 min commercial, it was laid back and I gathered some great information.
I've attended other such live speed networking events and I tell ya I felt over-whelmed, no so with the WSNBA chat event. There were just the right amount of attendees to where I did not feel everyone's information was being crammed down my throat.
With WSNBA it looks like they have found the right balance of allowing its members to share their products during events and allowing room and time for members to interact.
If you are a woman business owner be sure to check them out: http://wsnba.club.officelive.com/Membership.aspx

The Jordan Area Women in Business group recently invited Jim Rusnell from Waste Management in Utah to be their guest speaker. Jim shared some of the basics of recycling as well as some common miss-nomers on items that can't be recycled.
1) Question: What's the proper way to recycle pizza boxes
Answer: You don't, pizza boxes are not recyclable due to the oils from the pizza contaminating the cardboard
2) Question: How long does it take for styrofoam to break down in a landfill?
Answer: Styrofoam is left forever, its one of the man-made products that not even the waste of a landfill can break down.

How do you help the environment with being green? I have gone to cloth grocery sacks. I keep them in the trunk of my car to use for grocery shopping or other items I would normally use plastic grocery bags.

How to add a leaderboard for your b2evolution blog
***The blog template must be one that contains the line stating, "Start of main area". If the index.main does not have it the Adsense ads will not load***
1) Copy your code from the google adsene page.
2) Using a php editor, open index.main.php and go to about line 96 or to the area that is about 3-4 lines above the section that shows (start of main area) See below for what to look for
3) add the following about five lines above this area
4) re-upload index.main.php and you now have a leader board with your Adsense ads.
You can see an example of my Adsense ad at the top of this page just under my header.

Day two of getting friendly with Google Adsense
My Adsense account has been approved :o)! Setting up the pages is not as easy as it is said to be. I am having to recreate some of my static web pages to get the code to work properly with out it disabling the code for my SSL certificate information shown at the bottom of all of my non-blog web pages. I started working on getting my ads setup early this morning around 8 am MST, matching the colors to each page I plan to add code..... and then I ran into the issue up above. I took a long break around 2 pm due to being somewhat frustrated, but now I am back and I think I have this little fopaugh all figured out.
To add an Adsense ad to your blog post for each post on B2evolution, click on the expert link in your post editing window, there will be a button for AdSense, just click in your post the location you would like the add to show up, and wala, it will be tailored to match your blog content.
