Team Cullen

by tdgiftsol Email

I recently joined a chat group that discusses all things of the Twilight Saga. Upon joining you are asked to pick what team you would be on based on the characters from the book. If I were about 20 years younger I would definitely go for Team Jacob, but alas I am older and wiser now, so I have decided to be a part of the Cullen clan. To narrow it down further if I had to pick a Cullen to be, I would be Alice, lol. Her character seems to have so much fun in the movie.

Looking forward to New Moon

The world of Twilight

by tdgiftsol Email

So I just finished re-reading all of the Twilight books for the second time, well actually I did not re-read book one. I saw the movie after reading book one and I kinda feel I have had my full of the initial starting drama. While re-reading book two I had more visuals to go off of as now there are posters and pre-views everywhere of what the characters look like now (looking forward to the second movie, looks more high budget this time).

About a week ago I decided to look for others to chat about with the books via a yahoo group search..... Wow. I found a group that has almost an entire universe built around Twilight, the group is very involved you choose and side, do an intro, what character would you be and the whole nine yards.

Check it out - Twilight yahoo group

Sucked into the Twilight Saga by the flu

by tdgiftsol Email

For months last year I could over hear a friend speak about the Twilight books amongst her fellow Twilight followers. From what I could over hear I knew it was about vampires, I had been hooked on vampire books since Anne Rice's Interview With A Vampire novels, so my interest was piqued. I decided to finally take the plunge and find out what every one was going gaga about while browsing the shelves at the airport book store while waiting for my flight. I purchased book one last December, packed it into my carry on and then headed off to visit my parents for the holidays.

While on my week long visit to spend time with my parents in Mississippi I came down with the flu and spend most of my time in bed with Kleenex, Theraflu, cough drops and of course my Twilight books. By the time our plane had landed back in Utah I had read books one through three and was half way through book four.

So at this point I am hooked on the saga and looking forward to buying the movie. Ugh, what a let down the movie was to me. Having been pumped up by how well the Lord of the Rings books and the Harry Potter books went to screen, I expected no less from the Twilight books. To me the movie under-delivered and it just did not seem like enough time had been put into the making of the movie, it looked cheap. With that said I saw the previews of New Moon and it looks much better.

I plan to re-read the books to refresh it all in my mind. Looking forward to the November release of the movie.
